Leading with Emotional Intelligence

Your development journey begins with the EQ-i 2.0.
The EQ-i 2.0 is a psychometric assessment tool measuring emotional intelligence (EI) and how it impacts people and the workplace. It is the first scientifically validated tool to measure emotional intelligence. The EQ-i 2.0 assessment features one overarching EI score (Total EI), broken down into five composite scores which measure five distinct aspects of emotional and social functioning as shown in the image: Bar-On Model.

What is Emotional Intelligence?

Emotional intelligence is a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we: perceive and express ourselves; develop and maintain social relationships; cope with challenges; and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way. This definition is applied in the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0) licensed by MHS.

Why is it important?

Certain EI qualities play into the top 10 vital skills for the future workforce, as defined by the World Economic Forum. Emotional intelligence (EI) is a key indicator of performance and leadership potential. In fact, many studies show that leaders have significantly higher EI than the general population. The good news is that emotional intelligence is not static; unlike IQ, it can be developed over time.

LEAP into Leadership

We are pleased to offer our LEAP into Leadership Program.  What is LEAP?  It stands for Leadership Excellence Accelerator Program: a 12-week program designed for new people managers; those aspiring for a management/leadership role; and experienced managers that are looking to update their Human Resources Management skills.
